For MCC counselling, register at mcc.nic.in, or for state counselling, register on the respective state portal. You need to fill in your NEET roll number, personal details, and category information.
Q2: Can I participate in counselling without a NEET score?

Q5: What is choice filling?
Choice filling is the process where you make a list of your preferred medical colleges and courses. Seats are allotted based on your rank and your choices.
Q6: How many choices can I fill?
You can fill unlimited choices in MCC. But filling a minimum of 100-150 choices is a smart strategy.

Yes. If you do not lock your choices, your choices will not be considered.
Q8: Can I change choices after locking?
No. Once locked, no changes can be made. So check carefully.
Q9: What should be the order of choice filling?
From top colleges to bottom colleges. Never go from bottom to top. Dream colleges first, target colleges in the middle, safe colleges last.

Seat Allotment
Q10: How does seat allotment work?
A computer-based algorithm allots seats based on your NEET rank and your choice list. The student with the better rank gets preference first.

NEET counselling usually has 4 rounds:

Do not worry. Chances are higher in Round 2. Add new choices and modify existing ones. Add more colleges.

In Round 2, you can upgrade your existing seat. If you get an upgrade, you will have to accept the new seat.

Yes. If you have not resigned your seat and applied for upgrade but did not get it, your old seat remains safe.
Free Exit and Resignation
Q15: What is free exit?
Free exit means you can resign your allotted seat without any penalty. Free exit is available after Round 2.
