Response Sheet vs Answer Key – What is the Difference?
Document | What It Shows |
|---|---|
Answer Key | Correct option for each question (A, B, C, D) |
Response Sheet | Which option you selected in the exam |
Question Paper | All questions with options |
How to Use: Open the response sheet and answer key side by side. For each question, check if the option you marked matches the correct answer in the answer key.
Subject-Wise Marks Analysis
NEET has 3 subjects. Subject-wise analysis will tell you what your strengths and weaknesses are.
Physics (45 Questions, 180 Marks)
- Correct answers × 4 – Wrong × 1
- Most students get fewer marks in Physics
- Accuracy in numerical problems is important
Chemistry (45 Questions, 180 Marks)
- Correct answers × 4 – Wrong × 1
- Chemistry has both theory and numerical questions
- NCERT-based questions have higher weightage
Biology (90 Questions, 360 Marks)
- Correct answers × 4 – Wrong × 1
- The highest scoring subject
- Selection in NEET depends on Biology
Pro Tip: Calculate the percentage for each subject separately. Where the percentage is low, focus on that area even after counselling (if you want to improve).

NEET 2026 Answer Key – Important Points
1. Provisional vs Final Answer Key
You can raise objections on the provisional answer key. The fee is ₹200 per question. If you think an answer to any question is wrong, file an objection with proof.
2. Multiple Correct Options
If a question has multiple correct options, NTA will consider both options as correct. You will get marks for whichever correct option you marked.
3. Grace Marks
If there is a typing error or diagram issue, NTA may give grace marks. This is reflected in the final answer key.
