NEET PG Counselling Process — Step by Step
Step 1: Registration
You will need to register on the MCC counselling portal.
How to do it:
- Go to the **[MCC website](https://mcc.nic.in)**
- Click on the "PG Counselling" section
- Do "New Registration"
- Enter your NEET PG roll number, application number, and DOB
- Fill in personal details
- Verify your mobile number and email ID

Refundable: Yes, the fee is refundable. You will get it back after reporting (minus processing charges).
Step 2: Document Upload
Required Documents:
- NEET PG 2026 scorecard
- MBBS degree certificate
- Internship completion certificate
- Medical registration (MCI/NMC)
- Class 10th and 12th certificates
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Identity proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport)
- Passport size photographs
Tip: Scan all documents in 50-200 KB size. JPEG format is best.
Step 3: Choice Filling
This step will decide which college and course you get.
Important tips:
- **Top priority first** — Put the course/college you want the most at the top
- **Select both course + college** — Not just the college, the course matters too
- **More choices are safer** — Fill at least 50 choices
- **Keep backup options** — Add low competition courses along with high competition ones
- **Category wise choices** — Add choices in both general and reserved categories

Step 4: Lock Choices
After filling choices, do not forget to LOCK them.
- Choices cannot be changed after locking
- Lock before the deadline
- Save the confirmation message
Step 5: Seat Allotment
MCC will declare the seat allotment result. After the result:
If you got a seat:
- "Freeze" — Accept the seat, join the college
- "Float" — Accept the seat, but wait for upgradation
- "Slide" — Accept the seat, ready for a better course upgrade
If you did not get a seat:
- Take part in the next round
- Add new choices
- Check cutoff analysis
Step 6: Reporting
You will need to do physical reporting at the allotted college.
What to carry:
- Provisional allotment letter (printout)
- All original documents
- Photocopies of all documents (2-3 sets)
- ID proof
- Fee payment receipt
- Passport photos
