RE-NEET 2026 Answer Key: Download Official Response Key
The RE-NEET 2026 exam was held today (22 June 2026). For students who were giving the re-exam because of technical issues, time loss, or paper leak in the first NEET 2026 exam, the most important question now is – when will the RE-NEET answer key come and how to download it? In this guide we will give you complete information about the RE-NEET answer key, response sheet, and marks calculation.
RE-NEET 2026 Answer Key – What is Different?
The RE-NEET answer key is similar to the normal NEET answer key, but there are some important differences:
Feature | NEET 2026 | RE-NEET 2026 |
|---|---|---|
Exam Date | 22 June 2026 | 22 June 2026 (separate shift) |
Syllabus | Same | Same |
Marking Scheme | +4, -1, 0 | +4, -1, 0 |
Answer Key | Separate release | Separate release |
Result | Separate rank | Merged ranking possible |
Important: The RE-NEET answer key will be released separately. Answer keys for both exams are not combined.
RE-NEET Answer Key 2026 Release Date
NTA conducted the RE-NEET 2026 exam also on 22 June. The RE-NEET answer key will be released along with the normal NEET key or with a slight delay.
- **Provisional Answer Key:** 25-28 June 2026 (expected)
- **Objection Window:** 2-3 days (after provisional key release)

How to Download RE-NEET 2026 Answer Key?
Step 1: Go to the Official Website
Go to neet.nta.nic.in – the official NTA website.
Step 2: Find the RE-NEET Section
There will be a separate section on the homepage for "RE-NEET 2026" or "Re-Exam". The answer key link will be available there.
Step 3: Enter Credentials
- Application Number
- Date of Birth
- Security PIN
For RE-NEET, you will need to use the same credentials you gave at the time of original NEET registration.
Step 4: Download Answer Key and Response Sheet
On downloading, you will get two things:
- **Question Paper with Answers** – Correct answers for all questions
- **Response Sheet** – What you answered
Step 5: Save the PDF
Save both PDFs on your phone or laptop. You will need to compare them later.
How to Check the RE-NEET Response Sheet?
The response sheet has a record of each answer you selected. Check it like this:
- **Question Number** – Check the number of each question
- **Option Selected** – What you selected among A, B, C, or D
- **Status** – Attempted, unattempted, or marked for review
Match the answer you gave in the response sheet with the answer key.
RE-NEET 2026 Marks Calculation
The marking scheme is the same – +4 for correct, -1 for wrong, 0 for unattempted.
Quick Marks Calculator:
(Correct × 4) − (Wrong × 1) = Total Score
Example:
- Physics: 35 correct, 5 wrong, 5 unattempted = 135 marks
- Chemistry: 38 correct, 4 wrong, 3 unattempted = 148 marks
- Biology: 78 correct, 8 wrong, 4 unattempted = 304 marks
- **Total: 135 + 148 + 304 = 587/720**
RE-NEET Score vs Normal NEET Score – Which One Will Count?
This is the most common question. The answer depends on the NTA notification, but generally:
Scenario 1: Paper Leak / Technical Issue If RE-NEET happened because of a paper leak or technical issue, then the RE-NEET score will be considered. The normal NEET score may be cancelled.
Scenario 2: Both Exams Valid If both exams are valid, the better score will count. Or an average of both may be considered.
Scenario 3: Specific Candidates Only those candidates who made a formal complaint had to give RE-NEET. For them, the RE-NEET score will be final.
Best Approach: Calculate marks for both exams and keep them ready. To predict RE-NEET rank, use the RE-NEET Rank Predictor.
RE-NEET Answer Key – Common Mistakes
Mistake 1: Using the Normal NEET Answer Key
The RE-NEET question paper is different. Only use the answer key released specifically for RE-NEET.
Mistake 2: Not Raising Objections
If you think an answer to any question is wrong, be sure to raise an objection. The fee is ₹200 per question.
Mistake 3: Forgetting the Response Sheet
Only the answer key will not work. Comparing with the response sheet is necessary.

How to Find Rank from RE-NEET Score?
RE-NEET rank prediction is a bit complex because:
- RE-NEET candidates may have a separate ranking
- Merged ranking is also possible (normal + RE-NEET)
- Category-wise rank is calculated separately
The easiest way: Go to the NEET College Predictor. Enter your RE-NEET score there and check the estimated rank. The predictor automatically analyzes 2026 trends.
Counselling Process After RE-NEET
After giving RE-NEET, you will be eligible for counselling. The counselling process will be something like this:
- **Result Declaration** – RE-NEET result (expected July 2026)
- **Rank Card** – Download rank card
- **Choice Filling** – Select college and course
- **Seat Allotment** – NTA/MCC will allot seats
- **Document Verification** – Original documents checked
- **Reporting** – Report to the college
For detailed information about counselling, read the NEET Counselling 2026 guide.
Why is Expert Guidance Necessary?
RE-NEET counselling may be slightly different from normal NEET. There are some special cases where expert guidance is needed:
- **Confusion in score selection** – Which score will count?
- **Document issues** – Extra documents for RE-NEET candidates?
- **College choice** – Best college based on RE-NEET rank?
In such cases, talking to expert counsellors is the best option. They will give you personalized guidance.
